flatpak

Flatpak is a kewl way to install cross-platform GUI apps on linux in a cross-platform way in a sandbox in your home directory.

Do the below on Ubuntu or Enterprise-linux systems. Simplest to reboot your system after the install so the Flathub Repo is recognized.

on Ubuntu

sudo apt install flatpak
sudo apt install gnome-software-plugin-flatpak
sudo flatpak remote-add https://dl.flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo

on Rocky or Alama Linux

sudo dnf install flatpak
sudo flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://dl.flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo

Warning: I do not recommend you install via Flatpak if another installation method such as apt-get, dnf, or even Ubuntu’s proprietary snap (mostly) crap is available. Unless the Flatpak install is supported by the reliable open source project your are trying to install; in my experience it’s usually buggy. Not Flatpak itself, but the install and maintenance scripts that make it up.
